Glen Johnson arrived at Liverpool in the summer of 2009 from Portsmouth. He started his career at West Ham before becoming Chelsea's first signing under Roman Abramovic.

He went on to win the Premier League and Carling Cup for Chelsea before being loaned to Portsmouth in 2006. This was made permanent after Jose Mourinho deemed him surplus to requirements.

At Pompey, Glen started to shine, and helped them win the FA Cup in 2008. The financial struggles at Pompey meant they had to cash in on their top players, and Liverpool came in for him in the summer of 2009.

He started his Anfield career with two early goals in the Premier League, and looks to have forged a good partnership with Dirk Kuyt down the right flank.
