Liverpool: Ref Watch 17/18 - Swansea City (Away)

The lowdown on the man in the middle for Liverpool's trip to Swansea City on Monday...

The Premier League has announced the officiating teams who will be taking charge of top-flight fixtures during Matchweek 24 of the 2017/18 season.

The players of Liverpool and Swansea City, who meet at the Liberty Stadium for a 8.00pm GMT kick-off on Monday, January 22, will be joined on the pitch by referee Neil Swarbrick.

Constantine Hatzidakis and Daniel Cook are his designated assistants, while Mike Jones will be patrolling the technical areas in the role of fourth official.

Swarbrick's 15 previous games this season have yielded a total of 41 yellow cards and zero red.

This will be the third time the 52-year-old has officiated Liverpool this term, following the 4-1 win at West Ham United on Novembre 4 (three yellow cards shown, zero to Liverpool) and the 2-1 home victory over Leicester City on December 30 (five yellow cards shown, three to Liverpool).

The hosts, meanwhile, lost their only 2017/18 match under Swarbrick's watchful eye 1-0 against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on November 29 (one yellow card shown, none to Swansea).

The Preston native's yellow card average this campaign currently stands at a miserly 2.73-per-game.

Swarbrick is associated with the Lancashire County Football Association and has been part of the Select Group of Premier League referees since 2011.
