Liverpool: Team News 17/18 - Spurs (Away)
Which players are likely to be unavailable when Liverpool take on Tottenham Hotspur this weekend?...
Despite this week being called up by Senegal for World Cup qualifiers against South Africa on November 10 and 14, Sadio Mané remains sidelined with a hamstring injury and a club return isn't expected imminently.
Responding to claims from Senegal manager Aliou Cisse that Mané would be back in training next week, Kop boss Jürgen Klopp told his pre-match press conference on Friday: "I don't know how he can know. I don't know, that's how it is.
"Sadio is still in rehab, indoor, he was not even on any exercise outside. That's the situation at the moment.
"If he's fit earlier I'd be really happy but no-one knows in this moment. Nothing else to say."
Adam Lallana (thigh) and Nathaniel Clyne (back) also continue to be unavailable to Klopp and the trio are unlikely to be seen running out again for the Merseysiders prior to the next international break.
|Possible Liverpool X1|
Selection wise, the German faces some tough decisions for this Wembley showdown following the club's scintillating 7-0 win over Maribor in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Captain Jordan Henderson and goalkeeper Simon Mignolet are expected to return to the starting X1, while Klopp may again rotate at right-back, which would see Joe Gomez replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was on the scoresheet in midweek.
Hosts Tottenham will again be without midfield duo Victor Wanyama (knee) and Mousa Dembele (hip), so new England international Harry Winks could continue in the middle of the park.
Erik Lamela (hip) also remains sidelined but left-back Ben Davies is expected to overcome illness in time to feature and youngster Georges-Kevin N'Koudou is also available again after concussion.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino will most likely continue to operate with a back three of Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and £42million summer acquisition Davinson Sánchez.
