Which players are likely to be unavailable when Liverpool take on Leicester City this weekend?...

Liverpool have a trio of new injury concerns heading into their Premier League fixture at Leicester City.

Dejan Lovren is perhaps the biggest one with a back issue that resulted in the Croatian international playing no part against Burnley last weekend or when the Reds exited the League Cup to Saturday's hosts on Tuesday night.

"It's nothing major," remarked manager Jürgen Klopp when discussing the former Southampton centre-back's fitness at his pre-match press conference on Thursday. "But it was enough to keep him out of two games and he is not in training so far, so that means he is also a doubt for the weekend, which is not too cool."

Lovren could be joined on the sidelines by regular defensive partner Joël Matip and midfielder Emre Can, both of whom are struggling with knocks sustained during the frustrating 1-1 home draw with Burnley.

Three players who will definitely be unavailable to Klopp at the King Power Stadium are Sadio Mané (suspension), Adam Lallana (thigh) and Nathaniel Clyne (hamstring).

Regardless of fitness and availability, after making seven changes against Burnley and eight in midweek, wholesale alterations are again practically certain as the Merseysiders look to end a run of three straight defeats away to the Foxes.

Simon Mignolet, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino are among a host of players set to return, while Philippe Coutinho is likely to keep his place despite being withdrawn at the interval last time out.

Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare is expected to return key attacking duo Jamie Vardy, who has been hampered by a minor groin problem of late, and Riyad Mahrez to his starting X1.

Matty James (Achilles) and Christian Fuchs (eye) could be available following injury but Robert Huth continues to be held-back following ankle surgery.

Forward Leonardo Ulloa is a major doubt after sustaining a neck injury that facilitated the introduction of opening goal scorer Shinji Okazaki on Tuesday night.

Unlike the visitors, the 2015/16 Premier League champions have nobody absent through suspension but they will again be without £22m Transfer Deadline Day addition Adrien Silva due to a registration issue.
