A selection of the best facts, figures and statistics ahead of Liverpool's Premier League away fixture with West Bromwich Albion...

As usual ahead of a game involving Liverpool FC, we've been busy trawling the records to bring you all the facts, figures and statistics you need to know.

Sunday sees the Reds visit West Bromwich Albion looking to follow up their first away win of 2017 against Stoke City last weekend. Here's what caught our eye:

• Liverpool and West Brom have contested 147 competitive matches during their respective histories with Liverpool leading overall courtesy of 67 wins to 38 defeats and 42 draws (source:

• The Reds are unbeaten in the last seven meetings, although four of those matches have ended in draws.

• Three of the draws have come in consecutive fixtures at the Hawthorns with Liverpool's last away success in the league against the Baggies in October 2011 (P4, W0, D3, L1).

• After keeping 10 clean sheets in their first 11 Premier League games against West Brom, Liverpool have kept just one in the 10 league meetings since.

• The hosts have failed to score in five of their last six Premier League matches.

• Against teams above them in the current standings, West Brom have an awful record of seven defeats, two draws and just one win in 10 outings.

• The West Midlands based outfit average the fewest successful passes per game in the Premier League this season (218). Their average is less than half of Liverpool's 477 per game.

Jürgen Klopp's men have won more points from losing positions than any other Premier League team this season (18).

• Three of West Brom's four goals against the Merseysiders under current boss Tony Pulis have been scored by defenders (Craig Dawson, Jonas Olsson and Gareth McAuley).

• Anfield star Philippe Coutinho has scored in three successive Premier League appearances going into this match. He's never netted in four appearances in a row in this competition.

Georginio Wijnaldum has provided six Premier League assists for Liverpool so far this season - one more than he registered for previous club Newcastle United last term.
