Liverpool: VL's February 2016 Player Of The Month

Who has won the Vital Liverpool Player of the Month award for Premier League performances during February 2016?...

February was another busy month for Liverpool with seven games taking place across four competitions.

It featured the club's first taste of a cup final in four years but sadly that ended in defeat to Manchester City on penalties (Capital One Cup) and Jurgen Klopp's men also exited the FA Cup via an undeserved extra-time defeat to West Ham United.

There was joy in Europe however as the Reds booked a mouth-watering Europa League Round of 16 tie with Manchester United by overcoming FC Augsburg 1-0 on aggregate.

In Premier League terms, it was another inconsistent month with the three fixtures played resulting in one win, one draw and one defeat.

The trio of matches yielded eight goals for, with six coming in one emphatic away win at struggling Aston Villa, and four against.

The month saw the impressive return from injury of some notable faces and, despite plenty of squad rotating, there were a couple of ever presents who performed to a consistently high standard...

The Vital Liverpool Player of the Month is determined by the individual MOTM awards cast for each Premier League fixture. In the event of no clear winner, the editor has the deciding vote.
