Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Kop boss J├╝rgen Klopp ruled out striker Daniel Sturridge for another 10 days.

His continued absence, along with that of fellow forwards Divock Origi and Danny Ings, has facilitated the club making a bid for Alex Teixeira.

Elsewhere the injury situation has improved somewhat from a couple of weeks back and Dejan Lovren is the next player set for a return.
