Liverpool: VL's December 2015 Player Of The Month

Liverpool: VL's December 2015 Player Of The Month

Who has won the Vital Liverpool Player of the Month award for Premier League performances during December 2015?...

December, as it invariably is, was a busy month for Liverpool with seven fixtures fulfilled.

In addition to securing progress in both the Europa League and Capital One Cup, the Reds played five Premier League fixtures.

In terms of both performances and results, it was another mixed bag from Jürgen Klopp's men as hard-fought wins over Leicester City and Sunderland were offset by dismal defeats to Newcastle United and Watford.

Despite registering six in a League Cup win at Southampton at the beginning of the month, scoring goals was again an issue for the Merseysiders with only four scored in the five league games.

The problem was compounded at the other end by conceding seven times, although successive clean sheets did round out the month.

Numerous key players were injured or rested at various points during December but a couple of individuals impressed regularly and consistently figured highly in our Man of the Match polls...

The Vital Liverpool Player of the Month is determined by the individual MOTM awards cast for each Premier League fixture. In the event of no clear winner, the editor has the deciding vote.
