Liverpool: VL's April 2015 Player Of The Month

Liverpool: VL's April 2015 Player Of The Month

Who has won the Vital Liverpool Player of the Month award for Premier League performances during April 2015?...

April 2015 won't be remembered fondly by anyone connected with Liverpool FC after the club's FA Cup hopes died and their Champions League qualification prospects faded dramatically.

In the Premier League, a heavy 4-1 defeat at Arsenal kicked the month off and, despite a return to winning ways against Newcastle United, more frustration was to follow as the Reds managed to earn just one point from games against West Bromwich Albion and Hull City.

In those two matches Brendan Rodgers' side didn't even manage a goal and worse was to occur in the FA Cup when the Merseysiders, who had sneaked past Blackburn Rovers in a quarter-final replay at the beginning of the month, let a lead slip in a semi-final defeat to Aston Villa at Wembley.

From four league games, Liverpool managed just three goals in April and conceded five, with very few individuals performing consistently well.

The Vital Liverpool Player of the Month is determined by the individual MOTM awards cast for each Premier League fixture. In the event of no clear winner, the editor has the deciding vote.

Vital Liverpool's Player of the Month for March 2015 is » Simon Mignolet «
