Liverpool: VL's January 2015 Player Of The Month

Liverpool: VL's January 2015 Player Of The Month

Who has won the Vital Liverpool Player of the Month award for Premier League performances during January 2015?...

January was certainly a return to form for Liverpool with the Kop Kings remaining undefeated in the Premier League.

Their four league fixtures produced three wins and one draw, including three consecutive clean sheets, as the Reds started to close the gap on the top four.

Brendan Rodgers and his men were also agonisingly close to reaching the League Cup final but ultimately lost out to Chelsea in extra-time after two compelling legs of non-stop action.

January was an incredibly busy month with two FA Cup ties also taking place; the 2-1 win over AFC Wimbledon and a 0-0 draw with Bolton Wanderers, which will be replayed on Wednesday night.

Overall the eight matches played involving Liverpool delivered 10 goals for (seven in the league) and only five against (two in the league).

There were a number of standout individual performances, especially at the back as the likes of Mamadou Sakho and Lucas Leiva helped to plug a previously leaky defence, but there can be only one overall winner...

The Vital Liverpool Player of the Month is determined by the individual MOTM awards cast for each Premier League fixture. In the event of no clear winner, the editor has the deciding vote.

Vital Liverpool's Player of the Month for January 2015 is
