Vital Liverpool is here right through until the 11pm BST deadline to bring you any breaking 2014-15 Summer Transfer Deadline Day news and confirmed deals as they happen...

With no fewer than nine summer signings already secured at a cost of around £120m, today is likely to be more about outgoings than incomings at Anfield.

Indeed, strong rumours overnight have suggested Fabio Borini is likely to be amongst those leaving with Inter Milan now rivalling long-term suitors Sunderland for his signature

Another player who could be bound for the Stadium of Light is defender Sebastian Coates, with a season-long loan move thought to be nearing completion.

There are also question marks hanging over the future of several more squad players, including Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva.

Will any of these players depart or will there turn out to be further arrivals after all? Stick with us as we find out in the coming hours.

Latest news and gossip
09.00: Good morning everyone and welcome to Vital Liverpool's dedicated LFC Deadline Day Blog. In addition to us, you can follow the rumours and dealings of all clubs in one place by visiting Vital Football's very own blog page (also included at the bottom of this page).

09.10: One area of the current Liverpool squad that might still be strengthened today is the goalkeeping department. Rumours persist over Sampdoria's Argentine international keeper Sergio Romero joining, while ex-Barcelona man Victor Valdes is also available on a free transfer.

09.15: Away from transfer rumours, there is plenty on site regarding yesterday's 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur to sink your teeth into. See our match report & verdict, Brendan Rodgers' reaction and the match stats.

09.35: According to Sky Sports Napoli and Galatasaray are the leading contenders to secure the signing of Lucas Leiva. The 27-year-old has made over 240 appearances for the Merseysiders since arriving from Gremio in 2007 but the arrival of Emre Can has seen him slip further down the midfield pecking order.

11.05: Nothing concrete to report so far but two other players who could be on their way out of Anfield today if speculation is to believed, are Oussama Assaidi (Stoke City) and Suso (AC Milan amongst the interested parties).

12.50: It's still very quiet from a Liverpool perspective but plenty of activity elsewhere with Radamel Falcao potentially Manchester United bound after Javier Hernandez was allowed to join Real Madrid.

14.35: Don't worry we're still here! Very little to report though except the impending departure of youngster Krisztian Adorjan, who is poised to sign for Italian Serie C side Novara. The Hungarian midfielder, who hasn't made a single first team appearance in five years with Liverpool, spent last season on-loan at FC Groningen.

16.00: Fabio Borini appears to have a new suitor with Queens Park Rangers widely reported to have lodged a £10m bid plus add-ons. Harry Redknapp's side are eager to secure a new forward after seeing Loic Remy, who had a move to Liverpool cancelled at the last minute recently, join Chelsea yesterday.

16.20: Still no official word on Sebastian Coates' departure but the Uruguayan defender is believed to be at the Stadium of Light undergoing a medical right now as a season-long loan switch to Sunderland nears completion.

18.25: LFC have now officially confirmed the departure of Sebastian Coates to Sunderland on loan. Despite impressing in pre-season the 23-year-old was probably Liverpool's fifth choice centre-back at present.

20.45: Sounds like Fabio Borini's move to Loftus Road is off after the Italian failed to agree personal terms with the Londoners. Still interest from Sunderland by all accounts though.

21.00 Sources, including Sky Sports, still reckon Oussama Assaidi will be back with Stoke City before the 11pm deadline. The Moroccan winger impressed on loan at the Britannia last season.

21.30 Not directly relating to Liverpool but former Reds left-back Emiliano Insua has joined Rayo Vallecano on loan from Atletico Madrid.

22.35: LFC have confirmed that Oussama Assaidi will spend another season on loan at Stoke City. The summer 2012 signing from Heerenveen has made just 12 appearances during his time with the Merseysiders.

23.02: Well that appears to be that. The window is now closed and therefore the likes of Fabio Borini, Suso and Lucas Leiva remain Liverpool players. There were no Deadline Day arrivals but three players have departed in the shape of Krisztian Adorjan, Sebastian Coates and Oussama Assaidi. Of course things can still sometimes happen and if they do we will bring them to you, but in the mean time all that remains is for me to thank you for joining us throughout the day on Vital Liverpool. Good night!
