Liverpool: Reds Release Seven Players
Premier League clubs have submitted the names of players they no longer want and Liverpool's contribution equals seven...
As happens at this point every season, clubs from the top flight are obliged to notify the Premier League of any players they are letting go.
This year's list of unwanted men now available for free is littered with big names including Rio Ferdinand of Manchester United and Chelsea duo Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole.

None of the established high-profile personnel come from Liverpool however.
The Reds have released seven players in total but the group contains nobody who has made a competitive senior appearance for the Merseysiders.
The seven in question are as follows:
Yalany Cuino Baio: A 19-year-old defensive midfielder who arrived from Portugal in January 2011. Born in Bissau-Guinean, Baio struggled for game time last season after stepping up to U21 level.
Villyan Bijev: Another to join in 2011, Bijev is a 21-year-old American forward of Bulgarian descent who has spent time on loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf and IK Start in recent seasons.
Yusuf Mersin: 19-year-old ex-Millwall goalkeeper who has represented Turkey at U16 and U17 level. Yusuf was another to arrive in 2011 but he struggled to usurp the likes of Tyrell Belford and Danny Ward from between the Academy sticks.
Michael Ngoo: Probably the most recognisable of the players to leave, Ngoo had been with the Reds since 2009. The physical frontman impressed early on with 15 goals in 21 appearances for the U18s but has ultimately been unsuccessful in making a major break through. A former England U19 and U20 international, Ngoo had spells on loan with Hearts, Yeovil Town and Walsall.
Craig Roddan: One time Wigan Athletic midfielder who was lined up to move to Carlisle earlier this season before spending time at Accrington Stanley. A good tackler and passer, Roddan, 21, had his injury problems after arriving on Merseyside in 2007.
Stephen Sama: The first of two defenders released, Sama did feature for the first team in a number of pre-season friendlies but never in competitive action. The Cameroonian-born German joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2009 and featured regularly at U21 level. Red cards were unfortunately a regular occurrence during the 21-year-old's time at the club.
Jakub Sokolik: The marauding centre-back has enjoyed an impressive campaign on loan at League Two outfit Southend United and is now expected to sign on permanently at Roots Hall. A 20-year-old Czech Republic youth international who joined Liverpool from Banik Ostrava in 2009 but made little impression at Kirkby.
