Liverpool: Ibe Departs On Loan

Young Reds winger Jordon Ibe has joined Birmingham City on loan until the end of the season...

18-year-old Liverpool starlet Jordon Ibe has joined Championship outfit Birmingham City.

The winger moves to St Andrew's for the remainder of the 2013-14 season and could make a debut against Blackpool on Saturday.

Ibe has made two first team appearances for the Merseysiders this season including during the 5-1 win over Arsenal earlier this month.

The London-born speedster arrived at the club from Wycombe Wanderers in December 2011 and is a current England U19 international.

Birmingham languish in 18th place in the second tier but are nine points clear of the dropzone.

"I like him. I like him a lot... I think he is a talented footballer," commented Blues boss Lee Clarke ahead of the switch.
