The January issue of Reds fanzine Anfield Roar is available now and unsurprisingly it's dominated by the transfer window...
Issue 6 of Anfield Roar has just been released and within this month's contents the publication focuses on the issue of transfers. Who do we want? Who do we actually need? Who should go?
Elsewhere, Liverpool's struggles to find consistent form is analysed and the findings point to a number of causes including refereeing decisions and a lack of killer-instinct when dominating games.
My latest 'Clear as Day' column looks at the origins of the transfer window, why it was invented and the pros and cons of the current system... Can you guess who my favourite all-time LFC January signing has been?
Here's editor Gary McParnaby with more info on the latest issue: "The New Year is another chance to make a fresh start, to have a look at what we have been doing well, and what we can improve. No doubt Brendan Rodgers and Co will similarly be taking stock of where we are - and you have to say, their work is starting to make a difference to the way we play - and identifying where we can develop or reinforce.
"Luckily January is also a time of year for action: the transfer window clicked open at the start of the month, which means that the gaffer can tweak his squad and fill the gaps we need to fill if we're going to have any hope of silverware in May.
"In this issue, we look at why, oh why, we have been so inconsistent this year, as well as highlighting a few players that might well be able to make a difference to us."
