Liverpool: Anfield Roar Issue 5 Out Now
The December issue of Reds fanzine Anfield Roar is now on sale and it's packed full of festive treats...
Issue 5 of Anfield Roar has just been released and within this month's contents the publication discusses what presents Brendan Rodgers and co will be finding underneath their trees this Christmas.
Elsewhere the question of whether more money in football is good or bad for the game is tackled and there is also a historical feel to proceedings with a look back at the club's first League Cup triumph in 1980-81 and the remarkable story of Christmas Truce during World War I, when fighting stopped and both sides held an impromptu game of footie.
As for yours truly in my 'Clear as Day' column, I take a look at the issues faced by clubs and fans during the hectic festive calendar. Unfortunately such a discussion cannot be had without raising the tired old subject of the winter break...
I also have a moan about tacky presents which don't suddenly become acceptable because someone has stuck a club crest on them - take note!
This stylish and modern publication is conveniently available across multiple platforms for viewing via computer, tablet and mobile (iPhone, Android and Windows phones are all supported). An App is also nearing completion.
What's more, the fanzine is now FREE!!!
Here's editor Gary McParnaby with more info: "Anfield Roar fanzine will now be FREE for all fans to download and read! We'll obviously work on refunding those of you who have taken out the longer term subscriptions, but we felt the time was right to take our readership to another level.
"Obviously this makes it much easier for you to spread the word to all of your mates about what a brilliant magazine this is.
"I hope you enjoy the issue, and everyone at Anfield Roar wishes you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year."
