Liverpool: Two Players Set To Leave

Brazilian left-back Fabio Aurelio and reserve forward David Amoo are readying themselves for moves away from Anfield.

The departure of Aurelio was predicted recently by departed boss Kenny Dalglish and the injury plagued defender looks set for a return to Brazil to join Gremio.

Originally signed by Rafael Benitez on a free transfer back in 2006, the former Valencia man actually left in 2010 but upon the appointment of Roy Hodgson as the club's new manager, Aurelio promptly re-signed for a further two years.

In his six seasons on Merseyside the 32-year-old made a total of 132 appearances and scored 4 goals but last term was his least productive with only 3 appearances for the first-team made all season.

David Amoo, who like Aurelio is approaching the end of his contract, is set to sign for Preston North End when his Liverpool agreement expires on 31st May.

The Lilywhites official website has announced that the winger, who spent last season on loan at Bury, agreed an initial one-year contract at Deepdale.

"Preston North End have agreed a deal to sign forward David Amoo from July 1st following the expiry of his contract at Liverpool," confirmed the article on www.pnefc.net.

"The Lilywhites have pulled off a coup to capture the pacy attacker with a number of clubs chasing his signature, following his release by the Reds.

"The London born 21-year-old has agreed a one-year deal at Deepdale with an option for a further 12 months following a successful year-long spell at Bury where he played almost 30 times, scoring four goals, including the winner against North End at Gigg Lane back in November 2011."

Amoo, originally signed from Millwall in 2007, made just the one appearance for the first-team when he played in a Europa League qualifier against FK Rabotnicki.

Good luck with the rest of your careers lads. Shame Aurelio was injured so much as technically he is a very good player.
