Liverpool: You'd Not Be Alone Rafa
Players and managers do come and go with all football teams, this is a fact of life. Rafa's thoughts that he'd quit Liverpool if Fernando Torres were sold are fair enough really in my honest opinion.
Being one of the best strikers in the World, as El Nino is, is bound to attract plenty of attention and envious glances from Europe's finest and there will always be rumour. This always leaves us with the worry, as the American owners are in charge with their debt, that cashing in on Fernando is something they could do. Everyone has their price but the Spaniard just isn't worth selling and if he was forced out of Anfield then it's not just Rafa that would be up in arms, I think that Tom Hicks and George Gillett would find that their own dwindling popularity would plummet even further!
This of course isn't something that's going to happen anyway so we don't need to worry about it. I'm sure that they'll be taking notice of such thoughts in any case.

Don't think that will ever happen, even dumb and dumber can see what a marketing tool Torres is even if they don't care about his footballing abilities. I'm sure Standard Chartered didn't agree to pay those idiots 20M a season so they can see their name plastered on Carlton Cole instead of Torres

i dont thionk that fernando torres will leave liverpool soon and maybe never he is a brilliant player and rafa is a great manager yes we have had some bad results but you win some and lose some.

Difficult to know how the yanks popularity could drop any further Chubby. Klutch made a sound point, the yanks may not listen to us but they will listen to the suits who sponsor the club.

A very good point klutch, income from sales is also worth a lot to the club and the Yanks so it makes even less sense to sell him, or any other star names.
